The duel is scheduled for August 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. The fight will take place in boxing rules, so any blow from another martial art is prohibited, as is usually the case in MMA, which consists precisely in mixing the arts. According to UFC boss Dana White, the first clause in the fight contract provides for an exorbitant fine if the UFC fighter executes scams that exceed boxing rules.

 - There is no possibility of these blows (of MMA) being applied. This is in the first clause of the contract. This is a boxing match, subject to the rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission. When we talk about a guy like Floyd Mayweather, the fines for this sort of thing are exorbitant. We all know how Conor likes money. He would have to stop taking an absurd amount of money if he decided to use illegal scams, "Dana White said.

In an interview with the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, boxer Floyd Mayweather confirmed the clause and speculated it would be 90% of Irishman Conor McGregor's handbag.

- There's a fine, there's a huge fine. I do not think he wants to lose probably 90% of his money. Or maybe more, it's going to be a big fine- Mayweather said.
